Privacy Policy
Backrooms: Code Yellow Guide is a static fan site. It has no user accounts, no logins, and no comment system - nobody sends us personal information by using it, because there is nowhere to put it.
What is collected automatically
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic: which guides get read, roughly which countries visitors come from, and which pages need work. This data is aggregated and does not identify you. It is processed by Google under their privacy terms, and standard browser controls apply: blocking cookies, using a tracker-blocking extension, or enabling Do Not Track signals in your browser will limit or stop this collection.
Advertising. Ads are served by a third-party network (Adsterra). That network may set its own cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads. Desktop (real mouse / hover) loads a native banner; phones and tablets load a 320×50 banner inside a sandboxed frame that cannot navigate this page. An ad blocker stops both. We do not sell visitor data.
Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes requests to serve pages and protect against abuse, in line with Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
What we do not do
- No accounts, newsletters, or mailing lists.
- No selling of visitor data - we have nothing to sell and no interest in it.
- No personal information stored on this site's servers beyond the automatic data above.
Cookies
Cookies that may be set: Google Analytics, plus any cookies the ad network uses for frequency capping, targeting and measurement. Block or delete them in your browser at any time; the guides still work.
External links
Guides link out to Steam and other third-party sites for reference and sources. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies - we have no control over what they collect.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
- Use your browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals; our analytics respects opted-out browsers where the tooling supports it.
