About This Site
Backrooms: Code Yellow Guide is an independent fan project. We are not affiliated with GameMechanic, we are not the game's official wiki, and we do not speak for the developer. What we are is a small team that plays the game and writes down what actually works.
How our pages are checked
Every page on this site follows the same rules:
- One build per check. Each guide is written against a specific state of the game - currently the Early Access launch build of September 21, 2026 - and notes what it was verified against.
- Sources we trust. The official Steam store listing, the developer's own community posts, and official screenshots and footage. When community folklore and official information disagree, the page says so instead of quietly picking a winner.
- No invented details. Where something is not documented yet - entity lists, payouts, console plans - our pages say "not yet confirmed" rather than guessing. Claims that come from players rather than the developer are labelled as community reads.
- Update discipline. Early Access moves fast. When official notes land, pages get re-checked against the new build and anything we got wrong gets corrected with a note on the patch notes page.
About the imagery
Screenshots and promotional images on this site are official game material, used for reference and commentary under an unofficial fan-site disclaimer. All imagery remains the property of GameMechanic. Game names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
